Telling Your Story

March 27th, 2008 by Zoey Jordan

If you were interviewed by the local newspaper, what would the story be about? How would you talk about your life? How would you see yourself? Most of us allow our past experiences to play a significant role in the stories we tell about ourselves today. Our identities are made up of places we’ve been, careers we’ve had, or relationships we’ve been involved in. An important key to manifesting a life of riches is living in the NOW. The past is gone, the future hasn’t happened yet, this moment is all there is.

Humans have internal guidance systems: one is unconscious and the other is conscious. The unconscious guidance system is strictly reactive and has an idea of your limitations based on what you’ve already experienced. The conscious guidance system knows you are a being with limitless possibilities.

When you focus on things or experiences that have already happened in your life, you are unconsciously resisting new possibilities from manifesting in your life.

Create With Intention

water dropsWe tend to cling to our stories like a life preserver. We see ourselves based on what we’ve done or been. This is your unconscious guidance system driving the car. And guess which direction the car is facing? How can you move forward if you’re always facing backwards?

The first thing you can do, if you wish to create with intention, and manifest a life of abundance, is stop telling your story. Your story hasn’t been written yet; like your life, it’s always in a state of creation and manifestation.

The Law of Attraction Responds to Your Requests

Plug into the conscious guidance system and let go of fear, disappointments, and negative emotions that offer resistance to the flow of abundance. Even if you’re satisfied with your past experience, live in the now. Feel gratitude and contentment, but focus those positive thoughts and emotions on your current state. The law of attraction will continue to manifest the things you ask for whether your focus is on the positive, or the negative. It doesn’t distinguish between good or bad, it simply responds to your request.

Living a Conscious Life

If you stop telling your story, you no longer have to live up to THAT story. You will then allow new experiences and abundance to flow into your life. Do you want to live an unconscious life, one designed by default? Or do you want to use great intention to design your life with purpose? You have the guidance you need already inside you.

At some point we need to let go of the past. But benefits are lessons learned of mistakes and provides a direction of what to steer clear of in the present. It is not healthy to allow our past to plug up the present as it only manifests cancerous intentions. Good article for positive thoughts.
