Your core beliefs, or underlying assumptions lead to doing, or the actions that you take. Your actions result in what you have. Having is a result or consequence of one’s attitudes, understanding, and behaviors.

More simply stated, your core beliefs and underlying assumptions will determine the actions you take and your behaviors…which will result in outcomes. Try to remember that nothing happens to you. Things simply happen, and you choose how to respond to them.
Clarify Your Intentions
Determine what your intentions are. Are your intentions clear to those around you? What is your commitment at work, at home, to yourself and to others? Do you really believe and know in your core, what it is you wish to manifest in your life? Have you thought about how it’s manifestation will improve your life, or how your life might change because of it? Are you ready for it? Are you focused? Ready to take conscious inspired action to create the life you desire?
Recognize and Eliminate your Limiting Beliefs
Our limiting beliefs become like brick walls in front of us. Take an inventory of the past year of your life.
- What major things did you accomplish?
- What were your biggest disappointments?
- What did you learn?
- How did you limit yourself, and how can you stop limiting yourself?
In order to get where you wish to go, you have to be clear on where you have been. It doesn’t mean focusing on your perceived failures. You can use the contrast of where you have been and where you wish to be, to help you determine the actions you need to take to achieve your goals.
In fact, there are really 3 possibilities when it comes to dealing positively with any negative aspect of your past. You can:
- Forgive
- Forget
- Learn
Create an Empowering Paradigm
Transformation occurs when you place yourself at the center of your life, and begin creating your environment, rather than letting circumstances dictate your success. Once you identify your limiting beliefs, or the behaviors that are holding you in place, you can then change them to create a new, empowering paradigm.
Try to remember that you don’t have to change everything at once. Just by increasing your awareness, you’re taking actions to make positive changes and begin manifesting what you truly desire. Empowering paradigms generally include the following components: they are personal, written in the present tense, positive, stated with powerful conviction, and point to a new and exciting possibility.
Remaining committed, focused, and positive is key to manifesting your goals.

On of my favorite quotes is from John Madden - “Things work out best for people who make the best of the way things work out.”
We all have challenges in life. Those people who make the best of those challenges and learn form them get GREAT results. Those who sit and brood and play the blame game usually repeat those same situations in a different setting and wonder “why me?”
Great blog post - thank you for reminding me of how I should be reacitng.
Zoey, I am at a place now where I an reviewing my goals. I lost focus for about 1 month because things did not work out as i thought they would. But now I am reviewing my goals and I have cut them down to 6. Mainly because all the other minor goals were not things I really wanted. Also, I will be sure to use the ‘Recognize and Eliminate your Limiting Beliefs’ section of the blog…. I enjoy your writing, you simplify the concepts well…
Awareness is the only tool that we naturally have in order to take control life. Everyone has it but it gets hidden when situations are at stake.
Emotions overide anything else. To control circumstances is to be aware. It reveals the path beyond.
