The reason that you are experiencing your current circumstances is because of the intention statements you’ve been making, consciously or unconsciously. Your intentions have either kept you from achieving our desires, or have allowed you to manifest them. Intention statements are incredibly reliable, and they really do work in conjunction with the law of attraction to bring you what you focus on. Your self talk is full of intention statements, which is why having conscious control over your thoughts is so important. Your belief system and attitudes are creating your reality, all the time.

Is Your Belief System Keeping You in a State of Resistance?

Right now, are using your filter, your current belief system, to decide if you agree orgrass disagree with what you’re reading. You might be thinking, “sounds good, but I don’t see how an intention statement will work for me.” Guess what? You’ll prove yourself right if your intention is for the intention statement not to work! If you have habitual thoughts or beliefs that are sabotaging your efforts to manifest what you want in you life, you can create an intention statement to replace those limiting beliefs.

For an intention statement to work, you have to truly believe it works. If we make a statement that is contrary to what we believe, our existing belief system kicks in and says, “That’s not true. You’ve got to be kidding me!”

If you turn your intention statement into an affirmation, you will experience less resistance from your subconscious mind, and will have an easier time creating what you want.

Turn Intentions into Affirmations

Let’s start with an affirmation about making money. Affirmations, like intention statements, are stated in the present tense, like so: “I earn $150,000 a year.” Try adding intention to the affirmation like this: “It is my intention to consistently and easily earn $150,000 a year.” Which statement or affirmation feels better to you? What about this one: “I have so many customers that my business is thriving.” Add your intention by saying: “It is my intention to have so many customers that my business is thriving.” Did one of the affirmations feel more believable for you? Did one feel more truthful or harmonious ? Which statement caused your belief system to jump up and say, “yeah, right!?”

Eliminating Resistance

Generally adding “It is my intention…” to an affirmation eliminates the resistance of our subconscious. Somehow it feels more convincing, and easier for our belief system to accept. When you are not in a state of resistance, you experience much greater success in manifesting what you want.

Anything that puts you in a state of non resistance is a good thing. Intention is a good word for this - it emphasizes definiteness of purpose and the potential for action.

Stated iintentions are Useless!! All they do, is open the door for the subconcious mind to argue,— resulting in defeat . !!! This occurs because an intention is NOT a statement in the present [ the NOW] but rather a statement in the indefinite future ! Affirmations on the other hand ARE statements in the present [ the NOW ] as though they have already occured. which is essential for them to manifest !!! They are actually direct instructions to the Universe to Manifest !!! It is not generally known that the Universe performs manifestation by INSTRUCTION, —— not by pleading, intending, or asking the subconcious mind to do it, although it helps if the subconcious offers no arguments [ resistance/ conflict ]. Manifestation is an act of Faith that the universe will perform , sealed by an affirmation in the NOW [ present tense ] The cause of failure is simply conflict in FAITH, — or, NO FAITH AT ALL !!!

Thank you, Dr. Anthony, everything you sent by e-mail is of great help to me! You are right in what you are saying and I am trying to understand how life works :) I have a question tough and I would be so grateful if you could answer. You said we can achieve anything. I want to be the girlfriend with a man that already has a girlfriend (he was with her than broke up with her and he has with me and then he came back to her). I mean, I would like him to break up with her and become my boyfriend. Still, my mind thinks it is not right to try and break their relationship, that she will suffer and that I should forget about him and focus on attrating a new relationship with someone that is “free”. What do you think? Is this just a limiting belief of mine? In fact, this is not an immoral thing to wish for? Won’t she be hurt? Please help me. I would like very much to be his girlfriend but I feel a little uncomfortable, because I don’t want her to suffer and I think we cannot manipulate other people (meaning him, in this case). I am a little confused, I do not understand how the Law of Attraction works in this case, if I would focus on a happy relationship between him and me. Thank you, Dr. Anthony! Please answer, you are such an intellingent person and I would like your point of view. I feel good when I imagine our relationship but then I think it is immoral to wish that.

I have also learned that saying “I am so happy that NOW I…” before the affirmation is a great way to raise the vibration needed to manifest the desire at hand. I like this idea, as well, of “it is my intention”…will be using it! Great blog!
