The Missing Puzzle Piece to Living a Rich Life

February 27th, 2008 by Zoey Jordan

Many of us have spent a great deal of our adult lives fearful of money. When we let go of the fear and get rid of disabling beliefs, we allow the flow of riches to enter our lives.

Missing Puzzle Piece to Managing Money

If you are like most people, you spend a lot of time thinking about money, or rather your lack of money. What would you say if I told you that your current beliefs about money could be getting in your way of living a rich life? When you change your beliefs about money, you will be able to attract situations and individuals into your life that will enable you to create a rich and rewarding existence.

Let’s look at some beliefs you might have about money.

  • How do you measure success?
  • Does success mean owning a large and beautiful home, driving an expensive car, or sporting a designer wardrobe?
  • Do you think that if you have enough money you won’t have to struggle?
  • Or that when you have a lot of money you’ll have a lot of nice things?
  • Are you equating being rich with being happy?

What IS the Flow of Riches?

We can attract abundance into our lives when we are conscious about releasing old patterns and begin trusting the flow of riches. What is the flow of riches? It’s an undeniable force that will enable you to have financial freedom when you get rid of your limiting belief systems and understand that you can attract into your life the things you want without struggle.

I want you to begin by releasing the idea that money equals happiness. Rich people face the same types of struggle that all people face. The size of a person’s bank account has absolutely no impact on if they will experience illness, sadness, relationship difficulties, divorce, death…and so on. What I’m trying to illustrate is that money does not insulate people from painful experiences. So are rich people really happier?

Money Does Not Equal Happiness

The idea that happiness is connected to how much money you have is an illusion. Maybe you are holding onto the belief that when your bank account reaches a certain amount, you’ll feel secure. You tell yourself that when you are debt-free and have $XXX in savings, you will feel rich. This idea actually interrupts the flow of riches, and I’ll tell you why. You will not be happy when you reach $XXX amount, because $XXX will not be enough. If you define your happiness by how much stuff you have, you’ll want to have more and more. This belief will only allow you to feel rich when you have a larger house, a better car, more possessions. If you have the idea that you need one million to feel secure, pretty soon you’ll realize that you actually need twice that to feel secure, and then two million won’t be enough.

Maybe you were raised to believe that earning money is supposed to be a struggle. Perhaps one of your parents worked two jobs just to earn enough money to put food on the table. As an adult you believe that only those who struggle or sacrifice can make money, or that in order to have a rich life, you must make sacrifices. Perhaps that means sacrificing time with your family or friends to make money. You have established a belief that having and earning money is based around great struggle. This belief works against the flow of attracting money and riches into your life. Releasing this belief is necessary for you or you will continue to experience great difficulty in earning and having money.

Create a New Relationship with Money

Create a new relationship with money

Many of us have spent a great deal of our adult lives fearful of money. When we let go of the fear and get rid of disabling beliefs, we allow the flow of riches to enter our lives. Maybe we have experienced difficulty in earning money, managing money or holding on to money. No matter what our past experiences have been, if we want to experience financial stability, we have to create a new relationship with money.

Take an inventory of what you have in your life right now. Do you want more? Of course you do. If you continue to do things in the same manner, your results will be the same. When you begin releasing the beliefs that keep you in a struggle for financial freedom, you will begin to have a different relationship with money. Begin trusting the flow and begin living a rich life.
