How do you measure the riches in your life? Do you gauge your success by the amount of money in your bank account? The car you drive? The ring you wear? Do those things represent financial security? Could it be that you have them, or want to have them, because having them actually enriches your life, or would represent fulfillment?
What Does the Money Represent?
Feeling truly rich doesn’t have anything to do with money. It has to do with the emotions or experiences that having or making money will create in your life. If you say, “I want the money to go on vacation,” you don’t actually want the money, a giant stack of dollar bills. You want to take that exotic trip and create unforgettable and magical memories. Sure, you’ll use money to purchase plane tickets and pay for accommodations, but the money itself doesn’t offer you any emotional payoff. The freedom the money offers is what you are after.
If you have money, but not the freedom to spend it, how rich are you? Now if you had true freedom to do whatever you wanted, whenever you wanted – that would be the lifestyle of a millionaire.
Live Like a Millionaire
People who have lots of money also have lots of freedom. They don’t struggle with money, and it would seem that they have mastered the unending flow of riches. But if you look past their bank accounts, you’ll see even greater riches. They work with who they want to, they work on projects that pique their interests, they visit places they wish to see…not because of money, but because of the freedom the money allows them.
So if it’s so easy, why isn’t everyone rich? Because we get hung up on the concept of money. The way to live like a millionaire is to focus your intention, and take conscious inspired actions to create your life by design. Focus on personal freedom. When you deliberately and consciously get in alignment, you can have all the riches you desire – including the freedom to live however you wish.

Money is just a symbol. In a sense, it isn’t real, and we have to move away from all the baggage we’ve attached to it over the years if we are to be truly rich.

A very interesting article, thank you!
We want money, because we like the freedom it provides. Interestingly enough, for many people, just the opposite happens. What do I mean?
For many people, (lots of) money is not only a source of freedom, but also one of great fears. Some say “it is easier to earn money than to keep it”. Saving, investing, tax-paying, inflation, turbulances at stock and real estate markets … Many people have come to understand that money really is a “idea”; just because something was woth 500′000 USD yesterday, it doesn’t mean that it will be worth this amount today.
What is the solution? Being happy where you are, and at the same time, being eager for more.
Thank you,for giving such indepes of thought ….hanging on the idea of having a lots of money….Ifwe were to sit in a room full of money what would we gain….but to create what is wanted for our fullfilment….the money will follow…. “IT IS SO” “AND SO IT IS”
What would the world actually be like if everyone was rich? Who would clean your room in the 5 star hotel you stayed at on your exotic vacation? Who would refuel your Gulfstream? Who would prepare your food and bus your table in the fancy restaurant? Who would work providing security at 3:00AM to keep you safe? Who would fix the burst water pipe? I’m genuinely intrigued by all of this but I guess I just haven’t evolved enough to fully understand it all. The world needs people at all economic levels in order to function. How would the wealthy be able to live in the manner they’ve become accustomed without minions to support them?
